IT organization in innogy Czech Republic needs to hire a dedicated expert in software license management. Personal development into broader IT vendor management is envisaged.
Our major applications (ERP, HR, CRM, Billing, Data Warehouse) are dominantly SAP based and run in cloud environment, just to mention innogy has the largest AWS IaaS/PaaS use in CZ. Helpdesk runs on ServiceNow. Microsoft 365 supports our user productivity.

Your tasks:

  • Accountable for whole lifecycle of software licenses used and planned for innogy companies.
  • Maintain expertise of license management function, set up and improve related procedures and policies, increase transparency and maturity by adequate tooling support.
  • Create license strategy, plan its realization and consequent license optimizations.
  • Manage major software licenses to ensure compliance with licensing agreements & copyright law and mitigate exposure to financial and legal risks.
  • Build and maintain open partnerships with our major software vendors to ensure maximum value from license agreements.
  • Review major license agreements, understand if software licensing is in compliance and take corrective action if necessary.
  • Ensure retention of all proof-of-license documentation, accurate counting of software license deployments across desktop, server/cloud environments.
  • Conduct internal and support external license audits with proactive license audit readiness.
  • Build a strong working relationship with IT delivery, IT controlling, procurement, legal, internal audit and other relevant teams to ensure software licensing models are well understood and hence leading to optimal software acquisitions and license utilization.
  • Guide and consult delivery teams (e.g. in projects) to achieve optimal license purchases.
  • Identify potential cost savings opportunities related to software and its support costs.
  • Facilitate license sourcing with procurement team, assist during renewal of maintenance and support for software licenses.

Your profile:

  • Experienced in Software Asset Management and license audits.
  • Detailed knowledge of software license models (preferably SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, RedHat, including Server licensing either virtual and cloud instances, AWS is advantage)
  • Strong in explanation, communication, argumentation/negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Ability to translate licensing terms in contracts/Licensing Agreements to meet demands.
  • Ability to assess effective licensing in order to help identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Knowledge of SAM tools, IT asset discovery technologies and license analysis techniques.
  • Czech language native/fluent, proficient in spoken and written English
