Cloud Service Administrator

The Cloud Centre of Excellence is a team within infrastructure of IT. The team’s objective is to drive the ambitions of using Cloud environments to enable the business to become a true digital organisation. Cloud services are also seen as a key enabler for achieving the organisations productivity agenda as a whole.

From within the CCoE the cloud service administration team provides core services that support both the CCoE and broader business and IT areas.

The Role: The cloud service administration team is responsible for ensuring the cloud platforms (AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)) are managed and maintained in line with or exceed innogy’s strategic aims, security and regulatory requirements and business expectations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

You will be required to:

  • be an active member of the cloud centre of excellence, where appropriate contributing to the CCoE backlog to ensure your respective area has a continual service improvement plan
  • where appropriate own, created, publish and maintain service request workflows that exceed business and IT expectations
  • work with the cloud service providers to ensure that their respective platforms are being consumed and managed in the most optimal way
  • provide ongoing advice to project’s and service owners as to how they can better optimise their environments
  • provide financial, usage and exception reporting to peers and management upon request
  • represent the cloud service administration team at meetings with internal employees, cloud service providers as well other partners and suppliers

Required experience:

  • Czech language - fluent
  • English is the international business language within innogy, you must be competent in both written and spoken English
  • Additional language that would be beneficial is German
  • Basic administration activities, time keeping and workload prioritisation
  • Basic knowledge of the use of the Microsoft Office Suite including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • AWS and, or Azure administration would be beneficial but not essential
  • Any knowledge of Service Now, NEO or Apptio would be beneficial but not essential


You should already have, or be willing to achieve the following certifications:

  • ITIL Foundation
  • AWS Essentials
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

About you:

You should:

  • have a High school degree in computer science / business IT or similar qualification based on practical experience
  • have a passion for learning new things, meeting and working with new people and participating in business and non-business- related discussions
  • be a fast learner, ambitions, and comfortable working in high-pressure environments
  • be willing to work in multiple locations and prepared to travel (minimal)
  • exhibit a proven track record of continually looking for ways to improve the way you work
