IT License Manager

We are seeking a new colleague who will provide support as a first point contact between license requestors and software vendors closely cooperating with purchasing team. Ensure that licenses are properly sourced and tracked in Software Asset Management system.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Plan, monitor, and record software license
  • Manage inventory of license pools
  • Verify software assets with license contracts with actual inventory,
  • Design processes relating to software execute and enhance them
  • Maintain relation and contracts with key vendors
  • Lead new license contract preparations and negotiations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant license products, their licensing metrics, rules and policies. Understand details of licensing terms and conditions from major IT vendors
  • Balance license volumes to deployments while following (and managing) the deployment tracking policies
  • Provide inputs and assists in financial business case preparations for new software asset acquisitions as well as for „support / maintenance“ renewals
  • Ensure consistent contact with the technical departments on license requests, purchases, renewals, and cost recovery


  • 3+ years’ experience in Software Asset Management
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Experience with participation in negotiations with vendors. Major ones are SAP, ORACLE, Microsoft
  • Being familiar with various software and hardware technologies, applications and OS platforms
  • Detailed understanding of software asset management trends and practices in the global market
  • Keen to learn about licensing and various technologies
  • Proactive work ethic
  • Capable of working on projects independently
  • Ability to establish relationships with operational, commercial and financial controlling colleagues
  • Elementary knowledge of IT infrastructure.
  • Fluently English, Czech speaking
